Smart Solar International Inc. is an independent, privately held, spin-off from the University of Tokyo’s Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology. Cooperation among government, industry and academia has enabled us to develop and produce low cost-high efficiency solar power generation systems that meet high standards. Production has started at the Sanbongi plant in Osaki city, Miyagi prefecture in Japan from June 2011, contributing to the economy of the Tohoku region.
